Kumonryu Koi

Kumonryu koi are one of the most mysterious and unpredcitable varieties.  They are known for their always changing colors and patterns.  Kumonryu are a Doitsu variety and are primarily black and white.  Often there is an appearance of blue as well from the underlying black that has not yet surfaced.  Selecting a good Kumonryu can be a difficult task.  On a young fish you will want to look for good body conformation and a black pattern that is balanced and smooth.  In the black you want to look for depth, sheen & lustre.  Kumonryu are unpredictable and picking a great often comes down to luck but these tips will greatly improve your chances of selecting and raising a beautiful specimen!

Buying KOI In Pennsylvania

Finding a reputable and knowledgeable KOI dealer with a great selection of healthy KOI is not an easy task.  Finding one that is also within driving distance can be even more difficult.  For those of you living in or around Pennsylvania that task will soon be much easier!

We are happy to announce that after 8 years of online sales we will be opening a Retail store in the Spring of 2012!  Our retail store will be located in Marysville, PA 15 minutes north of Harrisburg.  We are currently under construction but our doors will open to the public sometime in April.  Our Store will consist of 3000 square feet of greenhouse space filled with tanks of KOI, Butterfly KOI, Goldfish and Aquatic Plants.  We will also be stocking pumps, filters, medicines and other KOI and Pond related supplies.
